Chris O’Donnell learned how to tattoo in a sketchy biker shop when he was just 17 and now he’s a world renowned artist specializing in large scale Japanese s…

I wonder what actual Japanese artists think?
“obsess over everything that’s wrong” – could someone elaborate on this?
fuck off My town has a Absolute haha
Wow *how I wish I could Get a nice ink piece* *on me from this guy* …
that is not traditional japanese tatooing
Interesting tattoo video from #vice
if I was jap I Would be tatted up
Badass!! I want a tattoo by Chris O Donnell
hahah wow! This is the first time i’ve seen this! Had the pleasure of being
tattooed by Chris several times……12:54 is the line drawing and
background of my backpiece.
Ok, nice work, but I might be mistaken, but is that hair that was NOT
shaved off for the process at 8:45 on the client’s back ?? Or is it just
the blur of the camera ?? Still decent enough work for sure. For the
Haters…get some skills and do better.
For the ppl talking shit.. should watch it first 🙂 he clearly says he
feels like he just “squeezing by” and he feels like hes the last in his
group to get it.. super humble. And from the art i can easy say he is
slightly above the standard. Not by any means in the class of filip lue..
and also they say he went towards japanese style. His friend calls it a
refined take in japanese style. Its a dude drawing japanese subjectmatter
thats it. Soo stop hating and just see it as a nice documentey one of few
about tattoo. Soo thanks vice. The mike rubendhall was rwal good. Pz
so much for respecting the guys that give you a start…. no loyalty
Garver, Rubendall & O’Donnell: the finest tattoo artist doing japanese!
I’ve only got two tats , getting ready to find a artist and get some great
Chris is incredible talented, but the way he talks, it`s incredible
When i was in japan i saw alot of western styled tattoos o the younger
crowd.. i lived in asian for 12 years and love asian art soo if im
originaly from europe dont mean its worng to wanna cover the body with an
asian saga.. and about the yakuzaa its not at all like that anymore all
sorts of ppl in japan have tebori.. and the yakuzaa of today normally dont
like to wear them cuz of the orange hat 🙂 remember u see a guy with a
tattoo and u are being judgemental sayin hes not japaneese.. well maybe my
kid is? My best friend.. maybe even that white guy has a tied to yakuzaa.
The point is u know nothing of that persons background and still wanna
judge if he has the right to wear it.. that sone real stupid internet geek
thing. Never had anyone japaneese or not told me that in my face.. guess
its fron all they scary tattoos cover my body like an tshirt and shorts
tellin them better not say that :)
What kind of stuff is wrong with the tattoo industry?
i think irezumi should always be done with the tebori style it just doesnt
look the same with the gun
He draws fast.
Ah,the internet experts of everything plus a thing or two…
Check out this video on YouTube: #tattoo
Vice should do an interview about David tevenal
By “Traditional Japanese Tattoeing” I thought it was talking about the
traditional way that was just by hand with a needle, not with a machine, or
tattoes like tebori.
Timothy hoyers art is amazing 2 great artists
Before Ed Hardy turned into a complete sell out.
Do you think they would show a womans bare ass on camera the same way they
shows the all these men’s asses?
this guys is cool as fuck. i want to get a naked japanese girl with full
body yakuza tats and her hair in a gaesha bun by him.
I never had a actural tattooer I really enjoyed. But after watching this
video im a huge fan of his work now. By far my favorite. Great work.
Amazing artist. Talks about tattooing how its supposed to be instead of
talking about nonsense that has nothing to do with tattooing.
is that you KEVIN LOVE?!
Most of these tattoos dont belong to Yakuza, but most of these tatts have
stories to them in the yakuza world…. they wont harm anyone thats
considered an “outsider” though so the movies you guys watch, you need to
lay off of them.
too many male buttocks!
He’s brilliant in an attractive way. I don’t know. Something about him just
gives of a calm and caring vibe.
The nitpicking here is ridiculous. Nobody here should have anything
negative to say about this guy or his art he’s an all around class act and
is one of the best at what he does. Top 10 in no particular order Chris
O’Donnell, Mike Rubendall,Chris Garver, Troy Denning, Forest Cavaco, Mike
Ledger, Timothy Hoyer, Eddy Deutsche, Tim Lehi and Marcus Kuhn.
I don’t like tattoos for the most part but that dude is chill
nice response lol, owned that kid.
What are you on about?
that is about the dumbest shit I have ever heard..
Calm down before your head explodes and turns Tokyo into Hiroshima.
Such a humble man. Much respect.
all tattoo’s from real tattoo artists are art..
As another said. Asian is very broad and vague. Tattooing is of east Asian
decent however it developed independently in other locations as well. I
would not get any of the tattoos like that because to me they are
meaningless. I have one of the USMC isignia on my chest over my left side.
